Happy Wednesday guys! I hope everyone is having a good one so far. This past Sunday was the Golden Globes and with it, kick offs award season! Last year, I was fortunate enough to attend, but this year I watched all the glitz and glamour on TV. As all the dolled up a-listers strut down the red carpet, I couldn’t help but notice some stand out trends happening. I’ll recap my top 3 notable style trends as well as my top 3 favorite looks of the evening.
Not So Mellow Yellow – A color that is not too common on the red carpet history, but made major appearances and head turns this year. I mean the variety of silhouettes and styles present is too good to pass.
Head Turning Black – Sure, black is a staple, but stars are taking it to the next level from plunging necklines to all over sequin body con to bedazzled details (aka pockets?) to jazz up the basic black gown.
All Eyes On Me Blings – This is definitely the biggest trend on the Globe’s red carpet this year. I couldn’t count the number of champagne, gold, silver colored dresses made of metallic, tulle, lace or chiffon adorn with A TON of bling! This category needs two columns of notable dresses.
While there were some really great dresses this year, my top three favorite looks have to go to Kristen Bell, Emma Stone and Emily Ratajkowski!! I can’t wait to see what Grammy, SAG and Oscar will bring this year. What were your favorite looks on the red carpet for the Golden Globes? Did you notice any statement Jewelry pieces that capture your eye? Let me know in the comment below!
Last week’s most clicked outfit was this beautiful lacy Self-Portrait look from Kristen!! I love that dress as well as her amazing heels. Check out her blog.
