Hi Everyone! It is Wednesday! I apologize for the lack of presence as of late. Several factors comes into play: 1. I had a WordPress upgrade last week if you recall and it was incompatible with my website causing it to malfunction. Long story short, I had to spend some $$ to have my webmaster reinstall the older version and as a result of that, last Wednesday’s Inspo post was deleted and unrecoverable. 2. This past weekend I had a personal health scare. I fainted in my house without warning while I was playing with the kids. I have been sleeping very little from Miss K’s night terrors and not resting during the day trying to crank out all the Holiday contents and sponsored posts instead of resting or taking naps.
As a result of my lack of sleep and exhausting, my personal health suffered and my body gave me the big F-U. I remember when I come to, I was lying on the floor, shaking and pale as a ghost and my kids were calling my name. This was a big wake up call because it made me realize that although it is important to hustle for our little blog, I cannot do it with poor health. So I dropped everything that is not related to family or health and just nursed me back to semi-normal. To be honest, I was quite nervous and worried about how my blog and social media would suffer, but when I finally got 8 hours of sleep, when I napped in the afternoon instead of blogging or commenting on Instagram, I was so much happier and less stressed. Personal motto now is: Health Before Hustle!!
This week’s post is actually re-created from last Wednesday. Personalized Gift Ideas – why we should put that extra little effort and how to make the personalized gifts look modern and stylish without all that cheesiness.
Call me cheesy, but I’ve always been a fan of Personalized Gifts. I like receiving something other’s put thoughts into, it shows that they took the time and effort into making the gift special. Which is why I think personalized gifts are great for the holidays. Whether it is for a friend, family member, significant other or even for the hostess of the party, personalized gifts can really put an impression on the recipient.
I know some of you are thinking “oh no, the gifts are going to end up looking so dated and old or even cheesy” (a la Things Remembered). Don’t worry, I have some great tips to modernize your personalized gifts and make it a stylish one to give.
Are you attending a party? Or thinking of something for the hostess? This beautiful lacquered tray with monogram will certainly brighten up a room. Or this ultra modern marble and copper cheese board to get the party started with some yummy treats. Sure bringing the hostess flowers are nice, but why not make it last month longer with this succulent terrarium in a monogrammed glass jar?
Giving family member monogrammed Turkish towel sets or throws will make a house feel like home. What about some beautiful stem ware that is sprinkled in gold accents to sip some bubbly or a fine glass of white? Have a spouse that is
constantly on the road? Send a little reminder of home and love with personalized passport case and toiletry bag that is both stylish and elegant.
Don’t want to go all out on the monogram and personalization? Here is a simple way to show your friends or colleagues how much they mean to you. Write a little personal note on the first page of a super pretty and cute Notebook this will
make a lovely surprise when they discovery it.
Finally, nothing keeps it more close to heart than an initial pendant necklace. But there are other ways to showcase your care and attention to detail. Fill a unique Jewelry box or Jewelry Trinket Dish that is inexpensive with some cute
accessories such as these dainty Stackable Rings before you wrap it up. Imagine the delight of surprise when they discover that there are more goodies within the goody!!
What are some unique and personalized gifts you have received? Do you like it? Leave me a comment and let me know!!
Last week’s most clicked outfit was this super cute winter neutral look from Alina! It is seriously cute that I may want to steal this style.
