A start of new week, I missed my scheduled post for yesterday because our whole family has been plagued with stomach flu. It started with myself last week and I was pretty out of it for a few days lying in bed, curled up like a shrimp and then on Friday my son finally caught it and started throwing up and bathrooms non-stop to-date and I’ve been taking care of him day and night. To add salt on top of the wound, Miss K dislocated her elbow Friday evening which led us to Urgent Care. Poor girl screamed so hard and was crying hysterically when they popped her elbow back. I was sooooo heartbroken and almost passed out.
Ok, won’t hash all the drama, lets take a few minute to discuss the fashion. I just want to show a more modern way to wear button down shirts – Reverse It! The trick is to get a larger shirt, the best kind is the Boyfriend Shirt since it is more loose fitting and roomy. I stole my hubby’s shirt (size M) and was able to wear it as an off the shoulder top tied in the back. I paired with my denim cutoff shorts in a lighter shade since lighter color is better for spring and summer. Check out some of my recommendations for Denim shorts below. Finally, throw in my trusty Adidas Superstar to complete this “borrowed from the boys” look.
Top : : Borrowed from Hubs (love the boyfriend shirt from Treasure&Bond, Topshop & BR on sale)
Cutoff Shorts : : Rag & Bone (steals from Blank Denim and Free People)
Shoes : : Adidas (I also have This Pair seen Here and Here)
Bag : : Celine (consider buying this classic bag Pre-Owned)
Shades : : Gentle Monster (new current favorite brand of shades)

I hope everyone is doing better now. Stomach flu is a very intense and awful state to be in. I love how you styled this boyfriend shirt. Super flattering and effortless.

I am sorry for all the health issues your family has had lately. Your baby girl dislocating her elbow must have been so scary, I can imagine. Sending some great health vibes your way, Sheree.
From first glance from looking at the pictures, I thought that was an off-shoulder top. Such a genius idea to re-style your husband’s shirt like that. I shall do the same lol. I love the edginess you added to this preppy, casual, sporty street-style look! =) Flawless in all its simplicity!
Do come by and linkup with me this Thursday and every Thursday. I would love to have you in my linkup and for you to share your style thoughts with my readers. =) Thank you. Ada.

One of the greatest challenges for a mom is when her family is striked with health issues. I hope you will all feel better soon. On the other hand, I admire your creativity. You manage to put style into your BF’s shirt, which is pretty awesome.
Awwwww Sheree, I am so sorry!! That all sounds horrible. 🙁 I’m glad it’s better now. On a positive, you look fabulous!!!! Also, thanks for linking up this week!

I like your creativity! Stay well!
Have a lovely weekend!
Stomach bugs are the worst especially when kids AND mom have it! And I can only imagine that dislocated joints are pretty awful as well! I am glad you are feeling better and you look no worse for the wear! (Unless these photos were taken before illness struck, then I don’t really know how well you look!) What a creative way to style this shirt. It looks adorable with the shorts and sneakers, too! Stay well!
