I have had a fair share of travelings and it has been on my mind to do some hotel reviews for a while but I just haven’t had the time. However, given that Valentine’s is around the corner and people may plan to have a romantic getaway either locally or a scheduled trip, I’ve decided to round up my Top 5 Most Romantic Hotels in Los Angeles. Of course, there are many excellent hotel chains in LA, but the ones discussed are hotels that I have had personal experiences with and fell in love with and therefore want to share with the rest of you. I hope after reading my thoughts on them, a few will stand out and you can bookmark them on your next trip to LA, or your next Staycation for those that are local.
Montage Beverly Hills – Ah the Montage, though it is located in the heart of Beverly Hills, it is actually tucked away on the adjacent street for privacy which is why this hotel is home to many celebrity’s extended stays, husband and I ran into Michael Jordan there. The room is so luxurious and comfortable and you just feel like you are at home. The garden courtyard between the two build makes it ideal for summer night gatherings and you can enjoy a romantic dinner in one of the award winning restaurants like Bouchon and Georges on site. Extra bonus points for being super close to Rodeo Drive.
Terranea Resort – This beach side resort is located on the peninsula of Pacific Palisades and remains one of my favorite local resort for a romantic getaway. The rooms, the view, the spa, the restaurants, everything you need to be completely isolated from the rest of the busy world and recharge yourself can be found here. Did I mention the sunset is insane?! It is also super family friendly, they have a cool kid zone and allows you to rent toys and books to your room. You can read about it in my extensive review HERE.
Ritz Carlton Los Angeles – The Ritz has always been a luxury hotel group and when they decided to build a 5 star luxury hotel in the middle of Downtown LA, it was a grand affair. When it was completed, both the modern and sleek architecture design and the hotel top of the line amenities drew tourists and star athletes alike for extended stays (I mean the Staples Center is right down the street). The reason why it is on my romantic uu, is the view. When you are on top of the hotel, notably the restaurant and WP24 by Wolfgang Puck you feel like the world is under your feel as the city twinkles underneath you.
Petit Ermitage – Ivy vines covers this unassuming West Hollywood boutique luxury hotel. Known for its rooftop soirees and parties, Petit Ermitage is the perfect mix of old Hollywood meets French riviera country side. The rooms are stately, the suites are luxurious and the garden cafe look as if from the paintings of a French impressionist. Victoria Beckham has thrown baby shower at the rooftop, and that just shows this quint and lovely hotel is Posh approved!
Shutters On The Beach – No Romantic hotels in LA list can complete without mentioning Shutters On The Beach. This iconic beach front hotel is right in front of Santa Monica pier. The white shutters, soft drapes, airy room decor will instantly immerse you into the quintessential California vibe. Sit by the fire pit at night and enjoy a glass of wine while people watch the bustle Santa Monica beach scene and the giant lit up ferris wheel in the distance not too far away. You will not want to leave once you have been to this hotel.
So there you have it, my Top 5 Most Romantic Hotels in Los Angeles. Do you like my suggestions? Have you been to any of them? Which is your favorite? What are some of your local favorite hotels that you like to stay and would love to recommend? I love to know so leave me a comment below!
