Hi everyone. This is a much delayed back-post from our San Antonio trip. Let me start by saying that the city is a beautiful historical sight with the Alamo as well as renowned River Walk, but it is H-O-T and humid. We visited the River Walk on our second day there and attempted to have dinner on the bank but quickly realized that the swarming pests were just lurking for preys. I should have anticipated that when there is a body of hot water, there is bound to be mosquitos.
The River Walk itself is very beautiful and along the bank is filled with restaurants that is packed at all hours of the day. The tourists can catch a River Cruise that goes up and down the river for sights. Since we have this issue with insects, we also dismissed getting on one of those boats and instead watched them from afar. Due to the humidity, I felt fortunate to have worn an easy breezy silk romper from Rag and Bone, which also have very cute subtle palm prints. But unfortunately it also exposed most of my body out for grabs like a buffet in Vegas for those mosquito.
I am a mosquito magnet, maybe my blood is sweet, but whenever I am around, no one else gets bitten besides me. (sad and annoyed face) So basically I am the human sacrifice to send to the swarm of tiny pest insects so that my baby girl and my son does not get bitten. If you follow me on Snapchat, you must have seen the fist sized bites on my thigh and my back. At least Miss K and PA didn’t get attacked so I’m happy to be their human shield.
