When I found out that my second child is going to be a girl, all of my girl friends joked during my baby sprinkle that I can now pass down my clothes to her. Jokes aside, I think I will keep a few special and classic pieces that I truly treasure and love and try to pass them on to her. One of them would be this beautiful floral skirt. It belonged to my mother when she was my age, perhaps even younger.
I remember as a tot seeing my mom wearing the skirt, she appeared long, lean and beautiful. The skirt was longer back then as my mom is a few inches taller than I am and after she pass it down to me, we altered it accordingly. It is one of those pretty things you wear in spring or summer when the weather is nice a breezy. Since I’ve already shortened it and taken in the waist, I hope Miss K will still be able to wear it when I pass it down to her 🙂
