Hi everyone in the states! We are still traveling in China, but currently in the beautiful city of Hangzhou. I want to introduce everyone to a wonderful family hotel in the heart of Shanghai that combines the grand art deco style of old Shanghai and the modern luxury of developed Shanghai – Yangtze Boutique Hotel.
Growing up in Shanghai, I’ve always known the hotel as one of the best in the city, the legend dated back to 1934 when Yangtze Hotel was officially opened. Yangtze Hotel was among Shanghai’s top ranking hotels at that time, earning the reputation as “The Third Largest Hotel in the Far East”. Before the westernization of Shanghai and the influx of luxury hotels such as Ritz Carlton, The Peninsula, Waldorf Astoria and Park Hyatt, Yangtze Hotel was the meeting place for Shanghai’s upper class socialites. Although I love the modern high rise hotels that is now sprung all over the city, my heart still feel nostalgic for this historic gem every time I go back. We stayed at their Suites and it is both spacious and beautiful, highly recommend to family traveling with kids.
The Yangtze Boutique Hotel Shanghai is conveniently located in People’s Square, Shanghai’s city centre and central business district, directly across from the metro line #1, #2 and #8 entrance. It’s perfect location enables the hotel to be bordered by major cultural highlights and tourist hotspots within walking distance, such as Nanjing Pedestrian Road, People’s Park, the Raffles City, Shanghai Museum and Shanghai Grand Theatre. A great place to stay if you want to be surrounded by all of the entertainment and shopping attractions.
If you ever find yourself traveling to Shanghai, I hope you can check out The Yangtze Boutique Hotel. Please see the hotel information below:
