Happy 2016 to all! First post of the new year and hope to have a great start. I know a lot of people start the year with a few resolutions, I want to make a few of my own, but I don’t like to make big promises and not end up keeping them (i.e. eat more healthy and had cookie and cereal for dinner) so I thought I’d just make small lifestyle “updates” into what I do usually and see how things go. That way, I won’t feel guilty for “breaking the promise or not keeping my word”.
One of the “updates” is that I will try colors and patterns that I am usually not familiar with or don’t like to wear. My older readers probably know that I typically wear very neutral and dark colors with a splash of red, blue, or other bright to spice up the outfit. In the new year, I want to experiment a little, push my fashion boundary a little and be more a little more open minded. Maybe it works, maybe it won’t but at least I know that I’ve tried it and gave it my own “posh classy mom” touch (insert cheesy laugh).
This eggplant colored cashmere sweater dress from Autumn Cashmere have been sitting in my closet for ever, no for realz forevaaa, and I’ve probably worn it once since I got it. It is super soft, cozy and easy to wear and would be such a waste if I continue to let it sit in my closest and not see the light of day. So I paired it with a burgundy heels and my current favorite Celine bag to complete the look. It is simple, and can be worn to office or on dates. Let me know what you think in the comment below. What are some of your new year’s lifestyle updates?
