Happy Humpday! I hope everyone had a wonderful July 4th, spending it with loved ones, friends and family. Today I turned another year older, I am now 37! Yup, 30+7!! I think my blog have grown so much in the past year and so have I. When I started blogging about fashion, I was feeling a little insecure having to “compete” with younger girls in their 20’s, beautiful women in early 30’s, I thought to myself “How can I, a mom of two compete with these girls?” But as I continue to find my voice, my confidence and owning my personal style, I find myself appreciating the fact that I am a little older, my age is my wisdom and sometimes even selling point.
I think as a blogger a lot of times we compare ourselves and our success with others, even though the bench mark is completely not leveled. Although it is difficult at times to not feel envious at a another blogger’s collaboration with one of MY favorite brand, one that I have been dying to work with, I need to be realistic and telling myself that their demographics is different. I aim to work with brands who appreciate the ageless beauty as much as a well seasoned ones, brands that doesn’t just look for surface value and work exclusively with younger bloggers, brands that appreciate my age and what I have to offer.
An important key is to appreciate your own aging beauty. Take care of your body, exercise regularly, do masks just as often, takecare of your skin, invest in luxury skincare products. I recently did a skin age analysis with SKII and my skin age is only 28!! More on that in another post. I attribute this to years of relentless skin regimen and hydrating masks to stop fine lines forming even before it starts. I now have luxury skin care brands looking to collaborate with me because they believe in me and my age (no one really buy an anti-aging product when they see a 20 year old promoting it, but on a 37 year old mom of two, it is a different story). Own your age, sell it like it is your greatest asset, don’t compare to the younger models, they are them and you are you. Be yourself and be the best version of it.

You cannot not possibly be 37!!! You look damn good!!! You don’t look anday over 30!! Keep up the good work because it is definitely showing on you! Happy Birthday!
Oh hun, that makes two of us. I’m 36 and I have no problem with it. I know there are 20-somethings who do whatever they do and even younger ones out there blogging, but considering I’ve during the time I’ve blogged become the largest male fashion blogger in Scandinavia it all goes to prove that age doesn’t matter if you’re good. Ok, that sounded a bit braggy and cocky, but I just wanted to prove a point, we’re amazing and we’ve got life experience, wisdom and on top of that, beauty. 🙂
AND happiest of birthdays to you babe!!
Thomas xx
Happy Birthday first of all! You do not look a day over 25 seriously….I love what you said and think that as I turned 35 there is wisdom that comes with age. You are beautiful and I love this shoot. Thank you also for the feature there!

Happy Birthday, babe! you look fabulous and beautiful in these pictures! the dress is pure gorgeousness! I’m so glad that you feel confident and have found your voice in blogging!!! you are still so young and have many more sweet years to come doing this…. 🙂
xx. Gina
I had no idea you were 37. I would have given you late 20s at the most, knowing you had 2 kids. Through your posts, I can definitely tell the wisdom is there, along with the chic style and class you have 🙂

Happy belated birthday, Sheree! Honestly I can’t believe you are 37! You don’t look it at all. I love how you ended your post with ‘Be yourself and be the best version of it.’ Hell yeah! That is such a great way to live one’s life!
xoxo, Jo
Wow! I’ve never tell you are 37, you look like you are 25! 🙂
Happy belated birthday I wish you all the best!
I loved photography in this post, you look amazing and that dress is like a dream!
Happy Birthday dear! No way! I can’t believe that you are 37! You look amazing!
I agree with you 100%, I always compare myself with other, even bloggers with years of experience and then feel that I worth nothing. I should spot doing it. Thank you for your post.

Happy belated birthday! I totally agree that being older should be viewed as a positive. I think we all compare ourselves to others (it’s human nature) but we all have something unique that no-one else has. Let’s celebrate that! Beautiful photos!

Babe, you look absolutely stinning ! Age should never be something people judge you for and if they do it’s clearly their loss! I love your positive outlook on being yourself and showcasing who you are REGARDLESS of your age! I cannot wait to hear all about your skincare test!
I truly love this post because I feel you sister! I think as a blogger it’s hard to compete with these younger, beautiful girls but I too, like you have been finding my own style and voice. You continue to inspire me and I love your fashion and can’t believe how old you are because I always thought you were in your early 30’s! Happiest birthday to you my hot mama friend! Love this hot lbd and lace detail and those CL pumps. I need your skin regimen and can’t wait to read about that later! I hope you had a fantastic bday and much love to you! xoxo, Christine

Oh my goodness!! Happy Birthday Gorgeous Friend !!! You look younger than what the skin test told you your skin is!! I’m 44 and I can totally relate to everything you wrote and you look so gorgeous in all of these photos!!
Happy birthday lovely!!
I always say, you’re only as old as you feel. But such a great way you look at it.
You don’t look a day over 21 gf ? Looking absolutely amazing ❤️❤️❤️
Happy Birthday gorgeous! You look beautiful and you are young! The age is always in your head, because the attitude and the way you look is the most important thing! I am a mother of three and I am a a full time blogger too, so I know what is that feeling when there are thousand of young girls out there doing the same. I think that we can look great at any age, we just have to love ourselves in order to reflect it.
You look beautiful in that dress!

Happy Birthday to you Sheree! This was such an inspirational post so thank you for that. I’m a mother of two as well and older than I look and I definitely try my best not to compare myself to other bloggers. I just try to stay true to myself and focused on my goals. I hope you have a great weekend!
First off, you do not at all look like you’re 37! More like 27! It’s those Asian genes, I’m tellin’ ya, plus you’re gorgeous! And I would love to hear more about this skin age analysis! How cool!
OMG! I had no idea you were 37 Sheree! You look super young! I seriously need to take care of my skin better and SKII has been my go-to essence since I turned 27. Haha. The dress looks beautiful on you and you definitely are an inspiration so cheers to your birthday! 🙂
xoxo,
Maggie
I really admire that you introduce brands and companies to match your age and your style – that is what a blogger should be doing in my opinion. It’s staying true to yourself that is so important as a blogger, and our audiences probably like that much more 🙂 This lace dress from Free People is absolutely stunning, it’s one of my favorite brands!!

Happy Birthday babe, you look amazing at 37! I’m in my thirties too and though the same thing, how am I going to be a mother competing with twenty something years old. I learned to just focus on me and don’t compare myself to anyone else. Keep doing what your doing.

Happy Birthday Sheree!! Own your age and who you are. Don’t feel bad or compare yourself to other bloggers. Plus, we’re Asian and look super young anyways so it doesn’t matter! Hahaha you look amazing. 🙂 Have a great birthday!
I agree, there will always be someone younger, older, more talented or successful than you. In the end, success is relative and based on the goals you set for yourself. The only thing that matters is that you believe in yourself and keep motivating yourself. There’s no need for comparisons. The lace dress looks amazing on you by the way! Xo, Jessica
Happy Belated Birthday! I love this! “Be yourself and be the best version of it.” I still cannot believe that you are 37. Age is a beautiful thing, and you exude confidence and grace. It is hard not to compare yourself to others, but I always think to myself that everyone has their own timeline. Thank you for sharing your aging tips! I will make sure to mask often!

I can’t believe your 37 you look 30.
No wonder the SK11 skin Analysis judged your skin age as younger it really shows that you have looked after your skin well.
I’d be scared to do that test as I haven’t always been kind to my skin.
I really love how you wrote about not comparing ourselves to others you’re right as bloggers it’s hard not to do that sometimes .
I’m 33 and sometimes it’s hard to compete or it feels that way with girls in their 20s but you know what we are mature women and should be proud of that!

Happy birthday Mama! Today I turn 43 so I hear you! There aren’t many older fashion bloggers (who are not primarily a mommy blogger) so I feel like I’m carving out my own niche. I personally don’t feel like I’m competing with the twenty-somethings but when the brands don’t realize that “I’m old” that’s where it gets tricky. A skin age of 28 is amazing! I did a Hi-Mirror event and their beauty mirror analyzed my skin and it literally told me it was perfect LOL. Now I’m curious what SKII says about me. Isn’t it fun to share you age when you know you look younger? Just keep doing what you are doing because it’s clearly working 🙂 And you are killing it in your Loubs and LBD!

Happy birthday girl! And it’s SO true. There are so many young bloggers and unfortunately just as humans we tend to compare ourselves to others. I think it’s great that you’re a mother and doing this on the side. I think you’re “angle” is really just your aesthetic. You’re a very classy lady, who is very wise and you can’t really compete with someone who has a very strong sense of identity. I am LOVING that lace dress on you and seriously you do NOT look 37. You don’t look a day older than 27 haha. Keep doing what you’re doing! I love reading your posts every week.
Happy Belated Birthday Girl!!! You definitely have to share your skin care secrets and tips soon!! You look absolutely fabulous in that lace dress and sexy heels!! I share your sentiments about having to compete with others younger bloggers initially but at the end of the day it is about doing what we want and what we like and not so much about the fear of losing out.
Can’t wait for your secrets of your skin care regime!
Xo,
Everest
Happy Birthday beautiful! Omg you are 37, I swear I thought you were younger. I felt exactly that when I started my blog, insecure about being older than other successful younger bloggers. I agree with you, not all brands want to work with younger bloggers, we do have our own niche. You sure sure are growing daily and you are doing fantastic. I love your style and adore your children. They are adorable!
I need to invest on some good skin care and I have heard about SKII and have watched the last video. Very empowering! I just bought my first luxury skin care from a Korean brand and love it. Don’t ask about the name as I don’t remember.
PS we share the same love for redsoles 🙂 Hope you had a fantastic celebration!

Dear Sheree, first of all congrats because you look 10 years younger! I’m turning 36 this year and I’ve had the same thoughts as you about my age. And I gave myself your same answers. In fashion, style matters more than age and beauty (which by the way you have aplenty). Happy birthday!!!
Happy Birthday Darling,
You Look much Younger:)
I will be 30 in this September and I can totally relate to your Post.
I think the only thing what matters that we try to be the Happiest we can 🙂
Ps: the Dress is sooo Gorgeous:)
I always want to try SKII, heard a lot good about them:)kisses Hugs

First happy birthday my dear! I never would have thought you are 37. Not only your skin age is 28, but YOU look like you’re in the 20s as well! Now I’m kinda interested in knowing what my skin age is, being Asian and you know how us Asian girls are obsessed with our skin and looking as young as possible haha. You are totally rocking the blog game and like you said, each blogger has their own demographic and audience, so you do you! There are plenty of brands who will appreciate and pay money to work with you and what you have to offer. Age is just a number, get it girl!

37?! More like 37 – 10! Girl, you look my age, heck you look younger than me! lol But I totally understand where you are coming from. I used to feel so behind on my successes age wise, especially umongst the blogging community. But I’ve realized that age has no boundaries in success! And SKII is dead on with your skin age, definitely 28! lol hope you have a fabulous birthday hun!
Happy birthday girl! 37:? HOW! Teach me your magic! I’m actually 21 but life just passes by too fast!
Happy birthday beautiful!
You have the most gorgeous skin, loveliest quiet confidence, and such a kind heart- not to mention an amazing sense of style. No doubt this year is only going to bring great things for you!
