Hi guys, hope you are all doing great. This is probably old news but did anyone watch the Prime time Emmy’s on Monday night? Wasn’t the proposal made by Glenn Weiss to his girlfriend the sweetest thing ever?! Well I was there in person inside the Microsoft theater and it was such an uproar when he got down on his knees it really became the surprising highlight of the evening.
So why was I at the Emmys? How luck was I?! Well, if you recall, I was at the Emmys last year as well. My husband’s company was nominated for a few awards and thus allow us the opportunity to be attendees and walk the blue carpet. This year, if you watched my Instastory, we happened to be caught stuck behind Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel throughout most of the walk. It was so close that I can reach out and touch her beautiful gown. We also saw quite a handful of notable celeb and nominees.
Since I was going to walk the carpet, I knew I had to find a dress fitting for this joyous and celebratory occasion. Thank goodness Mestiza New York came to my aid and provided me with a splendid silk metallic gown with high-low hem and tiered ruffles. Glimmering golden roses decorate the whole of this modern ball gown, with tiers of ruffles adding flair and movement that makes me the belle of the ball. I cannot tell you how many times people have stopped me and asked me about the brand and where about of this dress.
It was eye catching, yet subtle and the movement of the fabric with the train is beautiful in the light breeze. I paired a simple black strappy heels with a silk clutch to match the dress and did my hair in a messy updo with bold red lips to accentuate the red carpet look. The evening was magical, but I felt extra special in my Mestiza gown because it made me feel like one of the stars!! 🙂
