There is nothing that speaks more about my collegiate style than hoodie + denim + kicks! I think as a poor college girl living off my grants and work studies I lived in hoodies and pullovers of sorts. So after I entered into the work field, I wanted to completely separate my college days and the new “mature” working girl me and stopped wearing all things sweatshirt in public. At home, however, is a different story. Recent emergence of Athleisure styles had me re-thinking about sporting hoodies and pullovers as they are now part of the “on trend” category with various prints and designs.
I started adding sweatshirts and pullovers that are both super stylish AND comfy into my everyday wear; current favorite brands are Wildfox and Sundry. In terms of denim, I was able to dig out one of the pieces I owned since college days, a Mavi denim skirt and with a little DIY on fringing and a great on trend Denim Mini Skirt is formed. Back in college, I loved wearing Vans or Superga both I still adore to this day, but since I no longer own pieces from these brands, I resort to my trusty Adidas Superstar to fill in for the kicks.
Flying to NYC today for a week, so may be a little MIA, but try to catch our trip on Insta or Snap @poshclassymom. I am actually visiting Estee Lauder corporate office for a little lunch so this would be a little fun treat!
