In Mexico City the two main streets are Paseo de la Reforma and Av Insurgentes where one heads east west and the other north, south. Paseo de la Reforma is often praised for its European influence and design and even referred to as the Champs-Élysées of Mexico. Le Meridien Mexico City is located in the prime spot on Paseo de la Reforma, the heart and soul of the artistic, cultural, government and financial district of the Mexican capital. and we had the pleasure of spending a few evening during our visit in Mexico City.
The Le Meridien hotel is 10 mins walk to the historical city center, and various world famous museums and sightseeing. There are a lot of restaurants in the neighborhood and a tourist bus stop is right across the street. The main lobby features a beautiful light sculpture modeled after the Barro Nero Oaxacan pottery. The hotel features a restaurant, an indoor pool, and a fitness center. Additionally, the HUB which is a bar/lounge for people to hang out or conduct informal meetings, 2 cafés, and a snack bar. Free WiFi in public areas provides convenience to travelers. There is an indoor temperature controlled swimming pool and small but functional gym in the lower level of the hotel.
All of Le Meridien Mexico City‘s 160 rooms are suites, meaning you have a separate living room with sofa and seating area, a wet bar with microwave, sink and refrigerator. Free Wifi, 24-hour room service and multiple TVs. Bathroom are spacious and stocked with MALIN+GOETZ toiletries for that extra touch of personal care. Besides complimentary Wifi and unlimited bottle of water, guests also enjoy 1 cup of illy Coffee per adult, 1 sparkling drink per adult per stay and 2 complimentary Rufino Tamayo´s Museum tickets.
Upon our arrival, we were treated to their signature Eclair dessert mixed of unique local flavors such as mole oaxaqueno, glace of tamarind and lemon with banana, caramelized peanut and huitlacoche toppings. It was def a unique flavor explosion of Mexican flavors. There was also a present of a barro nero oaxacan candle holder as a souvenir to take home. Service has been exceptional during our stay, from the bell hop to the concierge, to the bar tender that made my complimentary mojito drink everyone was friendly and eager to help.
Next time you travel to Mexico City and find yourself in the middle of city center, make sure you consider Le Meridien as an option to stay, they are so wonderful and pleasant and center to everything.

The interiors of this hotel are seriously stunning and I love it when it comes to Le Meridien. You know what you get! Everything from the Malin+Goetz products to the small details you recognize from a luxury hotel. I’m just like you when it comes to choosing hotels. They have to have that something extra to them!

The Meridien looks like an amazing place to stay while in Mexico City! I love it when hotels are conveniently located so you can just walk to major tourist spots. I love how the rooms are cleanly furnished and have a very modern design. And I love that extra touch with the welcome eclair plate, how cute!

The Meridien is located at the heart and one of the most important and touristic avenues of Mexico City. I love its decoration, very modern. Black and white is the best match to create a minimalist environment. Your room was very nice and cozy. Thanks for sharing this great option to stay in Mexico.
Have a nice start of the week.

What a beautiful hotel – love all the special extras! The Museum tickets are such a great idea! Le Meridien sounds like it’s in such a great central location – I’ll have to check them out when I finally visit Mexico! Were the kids with you? Was the hotel kid-friendly? As a fellow mom myself that’s always the first question I ask 🙂

What a wonderful hotel, I love that beautiful light sculpture so very stunning.
Especially for bloggers Wi-Fi is so essential and I love how they provide luxury toiletries so that you don’t need to bring your own as I usually don’t like to use the generic stuff some hotels give you.
How nice is that Pool, looks like a perfect place to take a dip on your vacation
I really need to travel to Mexico city my sisters been there and it’s about time I travel there also.

The Meridien Mexico looks absolutely gorgeous! The decor is so luxurious and I’m loving those hanging pendant lights 🙂 A chocolate eclair and a coffee sounds like the best way to be welcomed and it sounds like the hotel is in a wonderful central location. Hope you enjoyed your time in Mexico City.

First, can we talk about that light fixture molded after Barro Nero Oaxacan pottery?! It’s so incredible! It’s phenomenal that Le Meridien Mexico City is located in the prime spot on Paseo de la Reforma. I love to be emerged in art and culture! With all the amenities you’ve mentioned, it seem like you’d never have to leave your hotel although with all the history its a must to explore! I can’t believe they are all suits! You know how much space we need as mamas! Microwaves are a must too! It’s amazing that museum tickets come with a stay as well! That eclair sounds like a dream as well! I must stay here! Love this post!

This pool and massage table – ah!!! I have been to Le Meridien in Paris actually and it was all fantastic! I’m not surprised you had such good stay
Mexico City has long been on my list of cities to visit, and it’s so helpful to read your review of the gorgeous Le Meridien Mexico City hotel! I’m such a fan of the property here in NYC, and it seems the Mexico City location is equally as chic. That hanging artwork at the main entrance is stunning! And the rooms and decor look so chic and well designed as well (that super chic black and white wallpaper definitely caught my eye). And of course, all the Malin + Goetz amenities immediately won me over. Any hotel that knows to stock such a chic beauty brand gets my vote! I will definitely look to stay here should Hubby and I make it down there in 2018. Thanks so much for sharing about this property (and love all the detailed photos too)!
