Do you remember a viral video by American Greetings titled #WorldsToughestJob? In the video, we were reminded that “Mom” is the world’s toughest job, you have long hours, constant in need, never a moment of complete rest, high emotional stress, selfless, often thankless and no pay! When I saw that video, I admit, I cried. I was reminded how much my mom gone through, over the years I watch her youth and beauty turned to gray hair and wrinkles from the hours spent restless and worried about her daughter. I never hesitate to buy her the best anti-aging skincare products because I know that she deserves the best.
This Mother’s Day, really think about all the emotional and physical hardship mother’s have been through and pamper her with some of the world’s best products. I am going to recommend some of my personal favorites, there have been used, tested and personally stamped “Approved” by me and you all know that I don’t plug products I don’t stand behind. You might have seen a lot of them on my Instastory when I share my day/night skincare routines. Yes, they are pricier than average, but compared to the hours upon hours moms spent on us, it is a mere fraction of investments over time. Without further ado, my Mother’s Day Nothing Best The Best for Moms Skincare Guide.
La Mer – La Mer is one of the most recognizable and coveted skin care brand in the world. The Crème de La Mer is nothing short of legendary, it is ultra rich, moisturizing and often sought after by celebrities. But besides the creme, I also am obsessed with the Renewal Oil and the new Brilliance Brightening Mask as an addition to my skincare ritual.
La Prairie – La Prairie’s origins can be traced back to the famous La Prairie Clinic in Montreux, Switzerland – a pioneer in anti-aging cellular therapy. While not as widely recognized as La Mer, La Prairie represents exclusive, scientifically advanced skin care with patented active ingredient complex called Exclusive Cellular Complex that effectively protects the skin against aging and damaging environmental influences.
Sulwhasoo – Many of my U.S. readers may not recognize this hard to pronounce brand name, but say the word Sue-Whaa-Soo to any Asian (particularily Korea, Japan and China) skincare specialist, their eyes will lit up. Sulwhasoo is the No. 1 skincare brand in Korea, it has an unwavering commitment to Korean Herbal Medicinal Skincare. Many of the ingredients in the products are holistic and drawn from Korean herbal medicine for its healing powers. When I have a terrible night from taking care of the kids, I use the overnight mask that reawakens skin’s natural glow while I sleep.
SK-II – Another brand that is less known in the U.S. but wildly popular in Japan and Asia. Discovered by chance by scientists observed the soft and youthful hands of aged sake brewers, SK-II is known for Pitera™ a clear liquid rich in vitamins, amino acids, minerals and organic acids work to dramatically improve the skin’s natural surface rejuvenation process. I use it daily after face wash and keeps my skin feeling soft and fresh.
