Whether you are a student on Spring break or a house wife wishing you are floating on the Maldive ocean, Spring time is for break time…take some self time, even just for the weekend to relax and recharge (I’ll have more on why a Staycation is important on a mother’s sanity in another post later). I want to cover some trends and essentials (not necessarily popular by rewardStye opinion) that I personally would love to wear on a Spring break.
Trend: White Dresses
If I hear someone tell me that you cannot wear white before blah blah blah, I will stick my heel in their mouth. Com’on we are living in 2017, I don’t see media telling Kim K that she is got a case of fashion faux pas wearing all white in winter so that rule should be banished in the fashion rule book as of 2002. Instead of spring floral or pastels, dare to wear white. It is refreshing and light and makes you feel rejuvenated just having that color on.
Trend: Fun Bold Bags
Sure the straw totes and cross body bags will be everywhere for spring, but just think what a fun conversation starter it will be if you carry a bag with bold print or an odd shape or an unexpected color. Maybe you like some extra blings on your bag via a cool charm or pile on the tassels, the bag should speak for your personality. I’ve been eyeing on a super minimal looking bag with cool metallic details, but that is just my “spring” style. P.S. the lunch box style is really picking up steam for those fashionistas with extra flare.
Trend: Eye Catching Sandals
Same idea as the bags. If you are going to keep the top minimal and clean, the accessories should be bold and fun and eye catching. Sandals with pom poms, bedazzled with jewels, laced with intricate embroideries, will add a spring to your steps. Whenever I wear a pair of heels with fun details, my steps are always lighter and bouncier, just because it puts those pedis into a good mood to be showed off.
Trend: Tinted Shades
Move over bulky black frames, we want to see and be seen in rose colored glasses. Remember I’ve mentioned in the past that I don’t like to spend a lot of money on sunglasses? Well, brands like Quay have so many modern and trendy glasses for only $60, I could easily purchase a few in different colors in rotation to pair different outfits with. I think my favorites right now are electric blue and rose gold.
