Hope everyone had a great weekend, we are all still recovering from this ugly cold that has been plaguing the family all last week. If you’ve watched my Instastory, I’ve mentioned that I have pulled a neck muscle from coughing so hard. Well happy to report that the strain is recovering and I can move my neck again without using the neck brace. Lots of things happening this week, mainly because it is Valentine’s week and lots of pink, red and heart shaped things you’re about to see. But knowing me, I just know that you will not be seeing much of that. Showcasing today’s outfit in full Sheree’s style – all black with a side of sparkle.
I’ve been on a boho grunge kick lately, you’ve seen the way I styled that floral dress a few posts ago with boots and hat and feeling that same vibes, I’m showing off this distressed tee + denim skirt look with a bit of boho grunge. The distressed tee is from Tobi features a front slit detail on both the neckline and the hemline. Distressed tee is becoming a big trend as I have seen several bloggers featuring it and doubling the distress with a dark denim zip up skirt also from Tobi. Since this look has a lot of grunge element, I threw this sheer kimono embellished with metallic stars on top of it for a little extra-ness. The ruffle sleeves and flowy, sparkly kimono really complimented the look while not going over the top.
Lastly, you cannot have a boho look without a pair of trusty boots and a good hat and those two are my go-to pieces to create the look. Funny story, as soon as we are done shooting, my photographer promptly asked whether she can have my sparkly kimono because it is something she would wear and I can totally see it too! Of course I said yes! I love it when a piece is really a unique style and fits someone’s personality. What have you dressed lately that is a little “extra”?
