Since getting back from NY there have been so many things going on from the stomach flu to other things that requires my attention so I’ve been lagging a little on blog posts and social media engagements. Normally, I would have been stressed out about losing readership and followers and sorts, I mean what aspiring blogger wouldn’t? However, during my time of social media isolation I’ve also noticed that I feel LESS stressed. Unplugging from everything that links us to our phone, our computer, our time AWAY from the people in front of us is super important. I always try to put my phone away when I’m with my kids because they are growing minute by minute, day by day and I don’t want to miss it because my head has been down looking at my phone all the time.
While I was sick and bed ridden, I was able to watch two popular shows that I have been meaning to see but was too busy with family obligations and blogging. I watched 54 episodes in one week and have never been happier just lying in bed and catching up with the things I enjoy. This was my unplug time for myself and really trying to take care of Me and what I like and what I need. Sometimes we need to unplug from everything in order to regain our focus and ready ourselves for new things coming. Hope you all have a great Memorial Weekend! Beautiful, crisp and clean looking! Those shoes are gorgeous! I noticed you haven’t been Snapping… I think time away from the blog/social media, etc. is so important! I have been feeling a little burned out lately and I really need to schedule in a break or something. My kids just got out for the summer, too.. so, blogging have been even more challenging!

I am sorry you were sick and bedridden. Sometimes I think our bodies just tell us to relax, even if that means through sickness (the worse case scenario) but I am glad you had that time. Looking cute and glad you are better.

This is such a great way to glam up jeans—the shoes are fabulous (and I”m still keeping my fingers crossed I win those studded ones) and your off the shoulder top is perfectly stylish!!
It’s so nice to unplug—I don’t think we realize how much business & stress it is while we’re doing it daily!!

It feels great to unplug, especially when our kids are so little! I am usually good about not being attached to my phone and the last couple of weeks I have barely used Instagram or Facebook, either.
Anyhow, love this chic look. Perfect for Memorial Day weekend. The accordion bag and your jeans are gorgeous. I need them in my closet.
