It’s another Monday, and it is MLK day, do you have the day off? I just got back from a great family friend’s son’s wedding, he is like a big brother to me so I’m so happy to see him finding his perfect gal. Of course, we must get fashionable for this festive shindig. I am notorious for wearing two pieces while attending weddings in colder weather (see Here) and I have the perfect top from Sandro but couldn’t make my mind about the dress.
If you follow my Insta or Snapchat (@poshclassymom) I posted two skirts that I was deciding between for this occasion. It was between the faux leather pleated skirt that I had previously worn Here and a Zara metallic pleated skirt with high slit that I previously bought for only $18 but haven’t found the occasion to wear. Thank you for those of you that tweeted and commented, it was an overwhelming landslide for the metallic skirt. The skirt did not disappoint, it was chic, unique, sexy, but not over the top and I am very happy with the overall outfit that I put together.
The Sandro tie neck blouse is seriously so cute and in my current color crush – burgundy. The soft sheer shoulder panel and sleeves contrasts perfectly with the shiny metallic skirt giving it some interesting visual textures. What do you think about this two piece ensemble?
