Hey everyone, hope you are surviving this heat! So where do I start? I have a few things on my mind this week to share. Number 1: I am already NSale’d out. I cringe when I see one after another photos of the same pieces rotating on Instagram and Instastories. Real Talk: I hate it when bloggers put their own interest of monopolizing from the sale and bombard followers on changing room selfies with links to every products. Some people make a small effort and style the look a little and others just flat out do an Instagram post with a dressing room selfie telling people “you guys, this sweater is so good, and under $50! Get them now!!!” It seems so fake, and hungry for sale commission and pushy. I mean, if you are not even going to purchase this item, legit wear it out, style it for a modest photo shoot, why push this onto your followers?!?
Yes, I get it, we (us fellow bloggers) are all trying to make some change with this full time blog thing, we are all hustling hard in what we do!! I hate it when monetizing platforms puts pressure on bloggers to over-cover the sale, how many posts they should write a week, reminders for the pre-sale, the public sale, the last chance sale, get the followers interested…etc etc. I can smell the desperation reeking from the screen when I see a post with sole purpose of pushing to buy, buy and buy. Granted, some of the bloggers do it in a tasteful way so that people don’t feel like they are being spoon-fed every bits of NSale information and I respect that. But enough is enough. Maybe I’m just overly sensitive on this, but I feel like as a liaison between store and brands, we should be inspiring people on what to look for in the coming season, colors to try, styles to keep an eye on. Help and Educate the public and not just uniformly shove sales down their throat. Be a style inspiration…Be creative and not conform to the masses.
So with that in mind, today’s outfit is back to the basics, simple luxe summer look that is clean, fresh and super easy to re-create. AND has nothing to do with NSale!! Pearl studded distressed denim adds a subtle feel of luxury to a plain denim jeans. Paired with a white ruffle sleeve top, white pumps, and a pop of color in cobalt blue bag we have created the simple and luxe look. I’m showing some of my favorite pearl studded pieces below for some inspirations. Share with me your thoughts on how you feel about NSale!! Are you feeling burned out like me? Or are you excited when you discover new pieces from other Instagram accounts?
