I consider myself a style chameleon, be it hipster or boho, Park avenue socialite or sweatshirt casual, I can pretty much pull it off. Though I do have my preferred go to style, I do like to experiment. Instagram provided a great platform to check out different styles and the bloggers that is currently dominating in each style category. One of the style I have always been fascinated with is the minimalist style.
What is minimalist style? Dominated by wearing monochromes and neutrals, the minimal style fashionistas sure knows how to make a bold statement with simplicity. Their outfits are modern, edgy but always elegant and sleek. Leather and chunky knits seems to be their favorite texture combo and they always seems to have the Perfect Mules and hip sneakers to go with their monochrome sleek bag of choice. To recreate a minimalist look, I I found a few pieces at Zara recently that I thought would be perfect paired with the all white Adidas Superstar (worn Here previously). Of course to look the part, I must throw on a Cropped Denim Jacket casually over my shoulder as they will never be seen worn with my arms thru the sleeves, but let’s face it, no real women with kids would do that in real life but for the sake of this minimalist look we will pretend that I am free as a bird and cool as a cucumber.
Finally, I am far too busy to drive to Melrose and be photographed with the infamous Paul Smith wall, buuuut a quick trip to my local Mexican taco joint with similar freesia wall as stand in completes this almost minimal look. The only slight problem I have with this almost minimal look is the fact that I am smiling in all of the photos (ugh, I just can’t pull off the RBF even if I tried with all my might). Well, I suppose my spin on the minimal style will always have a piece of my personal style.
